Jolly Giant Child Care is the #1 WORST Daycare in Nanaimo. This is over rated with one star! John Wilson the owner makes it the worst. He does not care about children or his staff, only about his profits. Because of this staff turn over is very high and they can never ever maintain their hours or operation. Week to week they constantly change. So while the owner limits his hours of operation, decreasing his labor dollars, he is increasing his profits. The cost is grief to his paying customers. He has no idea of customer needs, customer experience or child care. The proof was the day we brought this to his attention and he terminated our services. He couldn't have a face to face conversation with us. Cowardly if you ask me. But ....Displacing a child who had made friends there for over 3 years!!! One day she is there and the next day she can not come back!!! That's child care???? Unfortunately he does not like to here the truth, nor does he understand the needs of a child. I am not the only paying customer who feels this way. I have discussed this with many other parents and none of them are happy with the operation of the center. Unfortunately though, everyone feels stuck due to the lack of child care available in the Nanaimo Community. SO the owner thinks he holds power over all his paying customers, and it is very evident he just does not care. It is appalling, especially after being a paying customer for over 8 years. Guess what, you do have a choice. Every care facility out there in Nanaimo is better than the Jolly Giant Child Care. I can solemnly promise you Jolly Giant Child Care in Nanaimo is the #1 Worst Nanaimo Child Care facility. Do not make the same mistake we did, and find another Nanaimo Child Care facility other than the Jolly Giant!
