EZ Lube is an independent family business?not a franchise?and is locally owned and operated.

In 1991 Gary and his first partner took over ownership of EZ Lube Automotive Ltd. on the Old Island Highway. Surviving on a shoestring budget and living in the rafters of the shop, they ran the business on optimism and a lot of hard work. Gary knew then that the key to success was honesty, integrity and providing exceptional customer service
he still believes that today.

A year later Gary?s brother became his partner and soon after that a major competitor moved in and tested their resolve. Hard work, endurance and exceptional customer service kept them strong. This was not the last of the challenges for ?the Brothers? (as they were fondly referred to). In 1999 they were given 60 days notice to relocate their operation from the Old Island Highway. Once again, hard work, innovation and determination turned this challenge into an opportunity. The ?Brothers? found a new location, built a new shop, and in October 2001 they finally opened their doors at the Jacklin Road location. Soon after, they were awarded Business of the Year and expanded into a second location on the corner of Bay and Douglas Streets downtown Victoria.

Many years later, in 2008, Gary became the sole owner and operator of EZ Lube and in 2010 he installed a touchless car wash. The heart of the wash is a state-of-the-art water reclamation system which recycles 80% of all the water used. This wash system, along with their conscientious waste oil management principles, was in large the reason for EZ Lube being awarded the Environmental Leadership Award in 2010.

Then, in order to spend more time with family, Gary sold the Bay Street store and made his primary focus the Jacklin Road location. Danielle, his wife, supports him in an administrative capacity and his younger son Eric has joined the team and is working his way towards a college degree in heavy duty mechanics. We are family oriented and community minded and we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years. EZ Lube continues to support many local charities and sporting groups.
