Dead deer update. I've finally got a chance to check out the dead buck north of our property (on crown land). CSI Russell observes no predator damage (yet) and serious hind quarter injury that would indicate( to me) that the primary cause of death was vehicle collision even though the deer is now rotting in the river a couple hundred feet away. As it's in the Slocan river, I'd assume conservation might want to deal with it before the weekend floaters hit the water... but I'm not familiar with who would be responsible for it (Conservation, road contractors, otherwise?) and I haven't found any definitive answer online. Suggestions?

Has anyone seen the fawn with broken leg on third bench? Who do we report this to?
