Company Description

The very original Butler Brothers Store was founded in 1909 by Claude, Wally, Eric and Tom's uncles Willfred and Geoffrey. It was located on the corner of Veyaness and Keating xrd and sold "General Merchandise". The 4 brothers worked independently Logging and selling Gravel as well as working on many different side projects.
Butler Brothers Supplies has always been an adapting and changing company. The Brothers officially opened their own store in 1948 where they sold cement, roofing supplies, coal and presto logs. They also had 1 ready mix truck and 1 dump truck.
In 1954 Butler Brothers Supplies Ltd. became an incorporated company.
In 1957 Butler Brothers Supplies acquired their first Duncan opperations.
In 1966 The logging company was separated into it's own division and then sold in 1975.
Between the 1950's and 1980's there were at least 11 companies that were part of the Butler Brothers group. These included the importation and sales of agriculture machinery, Gravel and Ready Mix sales, Lumber and building supply store, TV sales, repairs and rentals, a machine shop, and roof truss manufacturing.
